WHM Innovations Oy Ltd ("WHM Innovations", "we," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information that you may provide while using our services. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains the information that we collect from the users of Heya mobile application and our other services as well as related websites, including www.getheya.com. The Policy also explains how we use the collected information, and with whom we share it. If we make any material changes to our privacy practices, we will post a revised Privacy Policy on this page.

By using our mobile application, our services or websites you are accepting this Policy. Please read this Policy carefully before using our application or services or doing business with us. If you do not accept this Policy, cease using our mobile application, our services and websites immediately and disable your possible user account.

We currently operate the website www.getheya.com and other domain names that redirect to the said website ("Sites").

We offer the Heya mobile application and related services allowing you to meet and communicate with other people ("Services"). The Heya mobile application is provided through third party application stores, such as App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).

We may also offer additional in-app purchases or extra features within our Services. These in-app purchases or extra features may require you to accept additional terms and conditions and hence constitute additional privacy practises not mentioned in this Policy. You should read all additional terms and conditions carefully, before buying or using any in-app purchases or extra features.

From time to time, we may add new Sites and Services that may not be listed above. If these new Sites and Services provide a link or reference to this Policy, they will be governed by the terms of this Policy.


We collect information in order to make our Services and Sites better to all users and customers. There are four ways how we can collect personal information from you:

A) Personal information given to WHM Innovation. We can collect personal information from you when you sign up for the Services. If you decide to provide us with your personal information or information attached to your social media account, we will only collect your personal information, which is needed to provide the Services to you and to fulfil our legitimate business objectives. If you refuse to divulge your personal information or information from your social media accounts when requested, you will not be able to access most areas on the Services. At least the following user information is needed and collected in order to access the Services:

B) Personal information collected through the use of Services. We may collect personal information from your use of the Services and information how you use these Services. This information may include:

C) Personal information collected from social media accounts. When you create your Heya user account, you will be asked to sign-in using your Facebook login or other social media accounts. If you do so, you authorize us to access your Facebook or other social media account information, including information about your Facebook likes, interests, friends and all the other information that is mentioned in your account. You also accept that we will have right to use your Facebook or other social media account information to improve and develop our Services. Also, we want to understand possible deficiencies in our Services in order to diagnose and fix problems in our algorithm and Services.

We may also collect personal information about your Facebook friends or social media account connections. This includes collecting names and pictures of your friends and connections. However, we will only use and share this information with other users who are also mutual friends or connections with your friends or connections. So in other words, we will not share any information about your friends or connections that other users could not obtain themselves as well.

D) Mobile device ID and related technology. WHM Innovations and our partners may use various technologies to collect and store information when you use the Sites and Services and this may include sending one or more cookies, mobile device ID and related technology to your device.

WHM Innovations may use tools or third party analytical software to collect and use certain non-personal data that does not enable us to identify you. We may use the collected non-personal data for purposes of analysing usage of the Sites and Services, and managing, providing and further developing the Sites and Services.

Non-personal information may include general, aggregated or demographic information. It will not be linked to any of your personal information, through cookies, mobile device ID or other means, without your consent. This type of anonymous, aggregated profiling and session data may include information that you have provided to us through your use of the Sites and Services, or taking a part of surveys, polls, etc. However, it will not be tied to any personal information, without your consent.


We want secure your privacy and provide you with safe Services. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or against loss, misuse or alteration by third parties. However, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information during its transmission or its storage on our systems. Therefore we do not warrant or represent that your personal information will be protected against, loss, misuse, or alteration by third parties.

You also understand that every time you voluntarily disclose personal information on publicly viewable screens or pages, other users may collect, use and share this information for purposes, which might not be lawful or justifiable. Also it is possible that other users may fraudulently collect information of you and share your personal information or your private conversations with third parties or public audience even though they would not be entitled to do that. Therefore please exercise extreme caution and discretion whenever you publicly or privately disclose your personal information.


We will use the information we collect from you for the following purposes:

In addition to what has been described above, we may use third party service providers when providing the Services. When we collect personal information of you in accordance with this Policy, this information may be disclosed and shared to third party companies or organisations, if

  1. the third party service provider needs to access your information in order to carry out a work on behalf of us;
  2. the information needs to be disclosed to a third party during a negotiation of any merger or acquisition and the receiving party has undertaken to follow non-disclosure liabilities with respect to the disclosed information;
  3. we need to disclose any of your personal information to law enforcement or other appropriate third parties in connection with criminal investigations, investigation of fraud, infringement of intellectual property rights, or other suspected illegal activities, or as otherwise may be required by applicable law, or, as we deem necessary in our sole discretion, in order to protect the legitimate legal and business interests of WHM Innovations;
  4. the disclosure is permitted by applicable law, regulation or agreement; or
  5. we have received your consent for the disclosure.


By using the Sites and Services, you agree that we may transfer your personal information outside the European Union in connection with the purposes stated in this Policy. Your personal information may be transferred outside the European Union, if an adequate level of protection is guaranteed in the designated country or organisation as defined by the EU Data Protection Directive (95/46/EC), Finnish Personal Data Act (1999/523) or the European Commission. For example organisations in the United States that have accepted to comply with International Safe Harbor Privacy Principles are interpreted as organisations with an adequate level of protection.


If your user information changes, you undertake to make those changes accordingly on the Service. You can also remove and modify any information or content that you have created or uploaded on the Service by following instruction on the Service. The removed information may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time but will not be generally available to you or other users.


We do not allow persons less than 16 years old to register for any our Services, and we do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from persons under the age of 16 years. However, due to general availability of Heya mobile application to the audience, we cannot become confident of person´s age and therefore we encourage parents and legal guardians to supervise their children under 16 years old and prohibit them to register or use our Services. We reserve a right to change this Policy at any time by notifying our users by e-mail and/or by posting the new Policy on the Site or Service. All changes to the Policy will be effective when posted, and your continued use of any Site or Service after the posting will constitute your acceptance.
